My Pet Guardians

We offer pet sitting for dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, small mammals, reptiles and birds. For multi-pet households please call for a quote, as we don't charge for every animal in the house depending on your set-up.

Dogs

For dogs we offer one OR two daily visits to your house to check on them. Overnight stays at your house either nightly or weekly depending on how long you are away for.

Visits

During visits we will feed and change water bowls as needed, let them out for the toilet, remove any waste, and take your dog(s) out for a half hour walk.  This is standard regardless of the package you chose.  If you would like us to visit twice a day a half hour walk is included with both visits.  We will visit your house more than twice if you would like, but we will charge more for extra visits.

Overnight Packages

We provide an overnight pet sit as well, which includes feeding and filling/changing water bowls as needed, we will let your four-legged friends out for the toilet and remove waste, and one half our walk, but the added benefit is that we will stay with your dogs over night.

"Live In" Packages

The best package we offer is a "Live In" where we will live in your house for as long as you need us to, which will be great for your dogs as they can stay in their own routine in their own surroundings.  We have a lot of interest in this package, and we are only able to do one "Live In" at a time, so this books up fast.

A "Live In" package is a mix of the best bits of the two above packages, we will feed your dogs and replace water as needed, we let them out for the toilet on a regular basis and clear up after them, your dogs will get two half hour walks a day, and we will stay over night with them until you get back.  Your dogs will be left for a maximum of 4 hours per day during the week, as we have dog walks to do between the hours of 10am and 2pm.

Overnight and "Live In" pet sits come with the added benefit of your house being lived in, which means plants will be looked after, bins put out on specified days, and curtains are open and closed, as well as lights being turned on and off.

Cats 

For cats we offer one OR two daily visits to make sure they are OK, and we also offer the Overnight and "Live In" packages.

Visits

When we visit your cats we will feed and change water, empty litter trays, let the cats out if needed, and spend 15-20 minutes per visit playing or relaxing with them.  We are able to visit your house more often if needed, but we will charge extra.

NOTE: If you would like your cat's play time extended to 30 minutes, please add £2

House Rabbits

We class house rabbits as rabbits that live in your house and live with you as a cat or dog would, free from a hutch and has the run of some of the rooms.  We do not class rabbits that live in the house, but have an indoor hutch or a pen as house rabbits.

Rabbits & Guinea Pigs

For rabbits and guinea pigs living in hutches or pens, either in or outside, we offer single visits or boarding in one of our large hutches.

Visits

We offer daily visits for rabbits and guinea pigs, which includes changing water, refilling food bowls and spot cleaning.  If you requires us to do a full clean of the hutch, we will charge a little extra.  We can make extra visits if you wish, especially through the winter seasons, we will charge for extra visits.  We can also close curtains and pick up post, feed plants and put bins out when needed, this isn't a problem to us.

Boarding Facilities

We are able to take rabbits or guinea pigs in to our home.  The hutches are two tiers and are easily separated by a hatch that cannot be opened by rabbits or guinea pigs, so there is no chance that rabbits or guinea pigs can mingle with others.  We will allow rabbits and guinea pigs from the same household to mingle, and even live together if that is what they are used to.  But we will not house rabbits and guinea pigs together, as there have been viable reasons pointed out by the RSPCA and other reputable rescues as to why they shouldn't.  Boarding prices are not inclusive of bedding materials or food, we will charge extra if you would like us to provide these.  The added benefit for your rabbits and guinea pigs being boarded with us, is that we can check on them on a regular basis, and if anything happens we are on site most of the day to make sure things are put right.  A full clean out of the hutches on a regular basis is included in the price we also do a daily spot clean.

Small Pets

For small pets, e.g. Chinchillas/Degus/Sugar Gliders/Lemmings/Rats/Gerbils/Mice/Hamsters, we offer daily visits or a boarding facility.  However, we charge different rates for pets needing more specialised attention.  Therefore, Chinchillas, Degus, Sugar gliders and lemmings, etc. cost a little more than rat, gerbils, mice and hamsters, as they have a more specialised diet, need larger cages, and need toys to keep them occupied.  Boarding rates are also higher as cages for them need a lot more room, compared for that of a hamster or rat.

Visits 

We offer daily visits for small pets, where we will change water, refill or change food in bowls, change sand in sand baths for Chinchillas, Degus, etc. and we will check them over to make sure they are fit and healthy.  We can visit more often if needed, but we will charge extra for this.  If needed, we can open and close curtains, feed plants and put bins out.

Boarding Facilities

We have a spare room that is used for boarding small pets, away from any disturbance, and the room is locked when we are not on site.  We charge a little more for Chinchillas, Degus, etc. as there enclosures take up more space than hamsters and rats, etc.  We can provide cages and toys if you wish, or we can pick up your pets and enclosures for a small fee.  we do not provide food or bedding, as this is different for each animal, so we would ask you to provide the food and bedding, and anything else your pets need in the way of supplements.  We don't mind going to get the items needed if we run out during their stay, but we will invoice you for anything extra we need to buy.

Visits start from £3 for Chinchillas, etc. and £2 for hamsters and rats, etc.

Boarding starts from £5/day for Chinchillas and Degus, etc. and £4/day for hamsters and rats, etc.  Weekly boarding starts from £32.50 for Chinchillas, etc and £26 for Hamsters, etc.

Reptiles

We have a lot of experience with reptiles and amphibians.  We have been keeping them ourselves for 9 years, and have had over 30 at one time.  We also studied herpetology at university, so we are also clued in to the anatomy and environmental structures of these animals.  We offer daily  visits, and we also provide boarding facilities for reptiles and amphibians with enclosure of 4ft or smaller.

Visits

We offer daily visits for reptiles and amphibians, we have experience with most species.  We will change water, feed live food or other food if needed, we will defrost pinkies or larger frozen food for large reptiles and snakes.  We will also add supplements to food and water.  Remove waste and clean substrates if needed.

Boarding Facilities

We have a spare room that is used for the boarding of small pets, we also provide space for reptiles in this room.  We only board reptiles and amphibians with enclosures 4ft or less.  Prices are higher for boarding as electrical usage is included in the price.  We do not provide substrate or food, so we ask you to provide them, however, we will collect more if needed during their stay with us, and provide you with an invoice when you pick them up.  We will change water on a regular basis, feed live food or dry food, and we add supplements to both if needed.  We will remove waste and change substrate if needed.

Birds

Visits

We offer one or two daily visits for birds, where we will change water, feed, change cage substrates and remove waste as needed, and check them over to make sure they are fit and well.  We are very sorry, but we will not let birds out of cages to fly around, not even with owner's permission.

NOTE:  We do not take birds in for boarding.
