What happens during a behavioural consultation?
Behaviour consultations will take place in the comfort of your own home and will last inbetween one and a half to two hours. It will be very beneficial if all family members can be present during the consultation. During the consultation, Danielle will talk to you about the problems you are having with your dog. Danielle will explain to you why these behaviours are occuring and will show you some positive reward based techniques, to help improve your dogs behaviour and help both yourself and your dog to cope with the situation. Danielle will work with you to understand the possible reasons behind the behaviour and how you can work together to overcome the problem.
The session includes a followup one hour consultation, during which you will receive your dogs behaviour modification plan. This is a step by step guide to help you and your dog to overcome the problem, a copy of which will be sent to your referring vet. As some behavioural problems can be deep rooted it is important that you take the time to carry out the modification plan, as no problems can be fixed overnight.
Danielle will work with you to figure out what works best for you and your dog on an individual basis, telephone and email support is included.
