                     Dog Day Care
While you’re away, let the pets play!

Our new Train and Play Centre provides
Bolton with it's first LICENSED dog day care.

With a structured day consisting of play time, one to one attention, and quiet time you can be sure your dog really does have their day!

Dog day care is a fun and stimulating environment for your dog which allows them to play, exercise, learn and socialise with other dogs in a safe and secure kennel free environment. Dogs who have spent a day or even a couple of hours in day care will come home happy, tired and content.

Our fully qualified and professional staff will ensure your dog gets the most out of day care. My Pet Guardians provide a personal touch and treat each dog (and owner) as an individual with individual needs. Our Train and Play Centre has a large open plan play area, a separate quiet area for puppies, low energy dogs and those new to day care and a training room where your dog can receive a one to one training session.

  • For the health and safety of all the dogs in our day care, all dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date with their flea and worm treatments.
  • Male dogs over 6 months old must be neutered.
  • All dogs must pass an assessment before being allowed into day care. The assessment is to ensure your dog is social around other dogs and will benefit from being in day care.

When dogs are left alone for long periods of time they can either become very bored which can lead them to create their own entertainment e.g. how many shoes can I eat today? or they can become very distressed which causes them to:

  • Become destructive,
  • Display inappropriate toileting habits,
  • Bark and vocalise excessively,
  • React with intense hyperactivity when someone visits them.

Day care can help to prevent these by allowing your dog to  be both mentally and physically stimulated in a safe environment while you're out. You will then return to a calm relaxed dog who's been busy working all day too!

People who use day care include:

  • Working professionals who feel guilty about leaving their dogs alone all day.
  • Parents who would like a family day out, without worrying about the dog.
  • Shoppers who don’t want to leave their dog alone at home.
  • Owners who want their dog to play and learn in a safe environment.
